About
Since I learnt how to play with yarns through Cat’s cradle and finger knitting before reading and writing, I have been seeing things through my own perspective. As well as how yarns make knots and tangles, how I think, understand and work are detailed; stitch by stitch like knitting. I am a knitter: artist, self-proclaimed ‘Tangled Witch’ who uses textile as a tool to interpret my ideas. Guided by maths and science, my practice considers communication with new mediums including edible materials using craft methods from hand to digital/machine to explore issues surrounding everyday life.
Following my curiosity and passion for collaboration and interaction, I often provide participation: interactive+multisensory experiences in my practice. It allows diverse engagements from human to non-human, kids to adults, sites to materials through the intertwining research and make, with tackling both social and environmental concerns, emphasising circular and sustainable systems. As my work straddles both academic and industry contexts, my research practice unfolds independently and collaboratively such as exhibition, publication, participatory performance, symposium and workshop(teaching+learning) to engage with public and/or specified environment/spaces across the globe.
I trained at BA Textile Design, and further research practice was built up at MA Art & Science, Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London. Recent projects have been successfully presented at Food Art Fair(2026), IMASUS(Imagineering Sustainability)(2026), Return, Observe - Group Exhibition in Tokyo, sponsored by Ezoe Memorial Recruit Foundation(2025), LOADING…: Exhibition and Symposium at University of Oxford(2025), Efood 2024: Experiencing and Envisioning food: Designing for phygital Food Systems at Elisava, Barcelona, Spain(2024).
